Battle at black water pass

In this battle, the all mighty Brettonians army are ambushed by a foul Skaven warband but manage to quickly put up a defense line.    

It’s a Brettonian army up against a Skaven horde.

·         15 Clan rats (sewer unit) (assasins;1)

·         15 stormvermin (Haquis’s troops)

·         1 Clan skyre warlock

·         3 Skaven warpfire throwers (disease disasters)

·         2 Rat swarms

·         1 Skaven warlord

·         1Skaven warlord;clan Mors (general)

·         1 Skaven doomwheel

·         1 vermin lord

Brettonians turn 1:

The “missile 15” fire at Haquis’s troops straight away and cause 3 casualties.  Morgiana does nothing but moves behind the safety of the trees, and Louen presses forward. The rest of his followers not far behind.

Skaven turn 1:

All the sewer scum do this turn is creep from the shadows over the stream spilling plague to the helpless creatures thriving there.

Brettonians turn 2:

The Brettonians CANNOT let the foul Skaven pass over Black Water Bridge, the two knight units cram in as they cross the bridge, while the young blood fleet splash their way through the river. Louen easily flew over the river into a battle stance, Morgiana trot across the bridge to halfway on her unicorn while The Green Knight halted next to Louen. And again, the missile 15 fired, but this time at the vermin lord. To no avail. The hero on foot was falling behind but caught up at the bridge

Skaven turn 2:

The sewer unit wheeled facing the brave knights of Brettonia, while the doomwheel moved up facing the young bloods. The warlords both faced Louen. The vermin lord leered at the Brettonian hero on foot. While I could not see the rat swarms…

Brettonians turn 3:

THIS IS IT!!! The knights all charge at once and this was the results. Lady of the lakes chosen trampled the warpfire throwers and killed them all, Morgiana turned to face the warlord but before she got a chance to charge, the green knight stride over there and put two big holes in his vermin fur, causing two wounds, the young blood unit charged head-long onto the doomwheel but didn’t do much damage, the hero on foot got next to a tree and when I saw the rat swarms there I realised my mistake! The grails holy hope suddenly broke-out into a full on charge ripping a hole through the sewer unit causing 5 casualties, them gaining 3 (including added bonuses and special rules) and they broke in two seconds flat! Morgianas’ best advanced from behind the mountain while Louen reared up ready to take out the opposing general, missile 15 fired a volley at Haquis’s troops but all dice rolls led to a miss! AAARRRGGGGHHHH.

Skaven turn 3:

 Haquis’s troops charged in at Morgianas’ best causing 5 wounds each, warlord was struggling to keep on his feet but got felled by the noble green knight, all the rest of the combats led to Brettonia winning by 1-2 wounds! But none broke, sewer unit was still running from the raging knights at full speed and the general ducked behind a tree while the rat swarm chewed apart the hero on foot.

Brettonian final turn:

What a last turn! This turn wasn’t too bad either. The fleeing sewer rats were taken out by the pursuing knights and Louen crashed through the trees and slew the vermin general. The determined missile 15 fired at the vermin lord again and took out 4 wounds! The rest of the wounds of vermin lord were taken by the green knight after wiping the blood from the foul warlord, the young bloods were down to 6 soldiers and struggling to stay in combat when Morgiana charged the doomwheel in the flank and helped in the struggle. Lady of the lakes chosen flanked Haquis’s troops and the green knight spotted and charged the hiding skyre warlock. Louen charged and added the finishing blows to the doomwheel and the turn is over.

Skaven final turn:

The warlock suddenly fell to the muddy ground and blood leaked down the stream. Haquis’s troops kept fighting on but could not fare against the odds and fell back but they were pursued

By the fast cavalry of Brettonians, leaving only the rat swarm to be trampled in dishonor by the knights of the Holy Grail.

TOTAL CARNAGE!

What a battle! Dale had underestimated the power of a full-fleet Brettonian force, before the battle he said to me "your Brettonian bums don’t have a chance against my Skaven horde,” well I proved him wrong! The Brettonians of the Grail halted the rise of the Skaven under-empire and boosted hope for Humanity everywhere! When I saw that vermin lord press forward I thought I was toast!     Here are the final outcomes:

BRETTONIA KILLS:                         

·         15 clan rats                        And a Skaven doomwheel, the victory points were off the scale.
